Mohamed Sharif Ibrahim is an experienced professional with over 10 years of expertise in education, environment, and policy development, working across both governmental and non-governmental organizations. He holds double master's degrees in Environmental Science and Management from North South University in Bangladesh, and Education, which equips him with a unique interdisciplinary approach to tackling critical issues at the intersection of education, environment, and sustainable development.Throughout his career, Sharif has played a pivotal role in shaping educational policies in Somalia. As the Planning and Policy Director at the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Higher Education, he led the development of the National Education Sector Strategic Plan and spearheaded the Education Sector Analysis and Strategic Plan (2021-2026) for the Southwest State of Somalia. His work has been instrumental in integrating climate education into the national curriculum, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in education.A passionate advocate for climate-smart education, Sharif co-founded *Royal Initiatives*, an organization dedicated to building capacity and conducting research on climate-smart education. His work in this space promotes the idea of equipping future generations with the knowledge and skills to adapt to and mitigate the impacts of climate change.In addition to his leadership in the education sector, Sharif has contributed to numerous high-impact studies in Somalia, including the Post-Disaster Needs Assessment (PDNA), the Energy Transition Assessment Report (ETAR), and the Somali Green Skills Gap Assessment.
