Who We Are
The Institute for Research Analysis and Dialogue (IRAD) is an independent, nonpartisan, non-profit, think tank and research organization based in Baidoa, Somalia. IRAD is committed to conducting interdisciplinary research, policy analysis, and fostering inclusive dialogue with the aim of promoting citizen-centric participatory governance.
IRAD actively facilitates and promotes interaction among stakeholders through diverse platforms, including dialogue forums, workshops, podcasts, community meetings, conferences, and public hearings. The Institute aspires to serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge, innovative ideas, and expertise, thereby catalyzing the revitalization of the South West State of Somalia. These engagements are strategically designed to shape policies and programs collaboratively, enhancing transparency, public awareness, and accountability, promoting inclusive development, and ultimately fostering public trust.
Operating at the local, regional, and federal levels, our institute aims to provide decision-makers with invaluable insights to make informed and impactful decisions. We bridge the gap between research and practical application at the policy level, strengthening policies and initiatives that contribute to the sustainable progress of the South West State, Somalia, and the broader East Africa region. Our focus on citizenry generates a profound understanding of local needs, contributing to informed decision-making and the overall advancement of the community.
